Louise…Look here!

Hi this is my latest post – you can scroll down and see my earlier posts…

I have set it up so that when you (louise) come to this blog it automatically logs you in (if it didn’t you would have to click the site admin link on the rhs menu and use the password I sent you).

Anyway – as the administrator, each page (see the pages listed on the top menu) and each post has an “edit” symbol that  only you can use to edit the page. (Mortals don’t get this link.)

Or – more usually, you can click on the site admin link low down the menu on the left –  this will take you to the administrator’s dashboard – from there you can edit any of the pages or you can edit or add blog posts:

  • just hover over the pages link on the rhs and select “all pages” from where you can select a page to edit … or even add a new one.
  • Similarly,  you can hover over the “posts” link and select “all posts” and it will give you a list of posts….. and you can hover over a post and use the links that appear to edit/delete them (select the one you want and then click on the appropriate action) or add a new post.

When you are adding a post you can use the buttons on the rhs to preview how it will look and you can use the publish button to put it live (NB this saves it – so it is not a bad idea… you can always edit it later).

For now just try editing the backstory page.

When you have published it you can click on the home (UkLymeBlog) link at the top left and go to see how it all looks – to update any bit just use the edit links (mentioned above) or go tot he admin dashboard.  If you edit a page or post then click the update button on the rhs to save/put it live.

Lastly, when you go to the site I have noticed that the scroll bars of the browser are slow to appear – they seem to come up faster if you clink on the page near the bottom!  This seems temporary proem.

Good luck
